Description

Finally, my all time favorite action hero is about to return.
What on Earth took U so long, Indy?? =P

Anyway, with the upcoming movie I figured I should create this
nice little collection of Indiana Jones games for the fans.

Indiana Jones Game Collection.
1982 - Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark:
Atari 2600.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is a video game created for the
Atari 2600 and based on the movie of the same name.
The player controls Indiana Jones as he searches for the
lost Ark of the Covenant. The game uniquely requires the player
to use two different controllers: controller 2 moves Jones and
its button uses an item; controller 1 selects the item to use
and its button drops the item.

1985 - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom:
Arcades.
Nintendo NES.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is an arcade game produced
by Atari Games in 1985. It is described as a platform game and
scrolling fighter, and is based on the movie of the same name.
The game was one of the first to be released under the Atari
Standard I banner, and the first of which to feature voice clips.
The game was later ported to Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Apple II,
Atari ST, Commodore 64, DOS, MSX, NES and ZX Spectrum.
The NES port differed somewhat from the arcade version,
but kept the same underlying premise and style.

1990 - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade:
DOS.
Nintendo NES.
Gameboy.
Sega Mega Drive.

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade: The Action Game was released
in 1989.Each version of the game is similar, with slight
differences in the quality of the graphics and sound. This is a
side-scrolling adventure game where players control Indiana Jones
through various side-scrolling levels from the film, armed with
their quick reflexes the trademark whip. The game was panned by
most critics for its weak graphics, sound and playability.

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure is a
popular graphic adventure game (similar to Maniac Mansion or
The Secret of Monkey Island) released by LucasArts for DOS,
Amiga, Atari ST and Macintosh systems in 1989. The player
controls Dr. Jones as he interacts with various characters
and visits areas from the film in order to find the secret of
the Holy Grail. The game was re-released twice - first with 256
colour graphics and a full digital soundtrack, and later with
256 colour graphics, minor bugfixes and the original version's
MIDI soundtrack. Of all the software adaptions of the film,
this one is the most popular with both gamers and critics alike.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a video game released in
1991 by Taito for the NES based in the film of the same name.
NOTE: There was also a NES game with the same title released by
UBI Soft in 1993 that was a completely different game in itself,
but based on the movie.

1992 - Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis:
DOS.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is a graphical adventure
game, originally released in 1992 and published by LucasArts.
It was the seventh game to use the SCUMM adventure game engine.

Fate of Atlantis featured three different paths to choose for
completion of the central part of the game. At this point,
during a dialogue sequence, the player can choose between:
The Wits Path (Indy has to use his brains to solve problems),
the Fists Path (lighter puzzles, lots of fist fights and action
movie-like solutions to problems), and the Team Path (features
Sophia Hapgood as a reluctant sidekick and part of many puzzles).
Each path includes some new objects and locations, different
characters and dialogue lines, and alternate ways to progress
through the adventure to reach Atlantis. The player who finished
all of the puzzles in all three paths and all of the alternative
solutions, which requires multiple playthroughs) received the
1000 full IQ (Indy Quotient) score.

1993 - Indiana Jones - the Pinball Adventure:
Pinball Machine.

Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure is a 1993 widebody pinball
game designed by Mark Ritchie (the younger brother of acclaimed
pinball designer Steve Ritchie) and released by Williams.
It was based on the Indiana Jones movies. There are a total of
12 "modes" in Indiana Jones, each of them based on a scene
from any of the three movies.

1994 - Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures:
Super Nintendo.

Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures is a game based on the
Indiana Jones trilogy released for the Super Nintendo
Entertainment System in 1994, developed by Factor 5 and
published by JVC Musical Industries, Inc. The story is told
through cut-scenes and text and is mostly faithful to the movies.

The game is primarily action based, and the player controls Indy
through levels based on events of the movies. Indy's main method
of attack is his bull-whip, but he can also damage enemies by
punching or rolling into them. Occasionally a gun can be found
that has unlimited ammo, and grenades are available in limited
amounts. Besides attacking, the whip can also be used as a
method of swinging across pits. Once in a while, the game breaks
the mold from the typical action and plunges the player into
various other types of gameplay, such as flying a plane,
riding a mine cart, and going down a mountain on a raft.

1996 - Indiana Jones and his Desktop Adventures:
DOS (Runs in WinXP).

Indiana Jones and his Desktop Adventures is a 1996 computer game.
Desktop adventures is made to run in a windowed form on the
desktop to use the least amount of memory possible and still
allows the player to perform other on screen tasks.

1999 - Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine:
Win32.
Gameboy Color.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine is a video game for the
Nintendo 64, Microsoft Windows and Game Boy Color based on
the character and film series Indiana Jones. It was originally
launched for Windows in 1999 and was later launched for games
console format.

2003 - Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb:
Win32.

Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is an action video game
developed by The Collective and published by LucasArts in 2003
featuring cover art by Drew Struzan. The game is a new adventure
of fictional archeologist Indiana Jones. The story is set in
1935, just before the events of Indiana Jones and the Temple of
Doom.
